Leaves are falling, leaves are falling...

Well, they aren't really falling, but I do wish they were. I adore fall clothing and cooler weather. Believe it or not, North Florida does actually get cool so I do get to rock some cute fall outfits now and then. :)

My current crush this week revolves around Loft's new collection. Loft is my absolute favorite store, but I only shop there when they have a good sale (hello, teacher here!). I browsed their website earlier this week and these are my favorites:

1. I love jackets! This one has really little stars on it. I think it's such a cute twist on a traditional trench.

2. This dress may possibly be my first day of school outfit. I love the colors and I would totally buy the belt to go with it.

3. I've been searching every where for a cute pair of wedges. I love any shoe that is patent leather. I've heard good things about Loft's shoes, so I may save for these.

4. I could totally pull of these orange pants. With a cute blazer, they'd make a great addition to a work outfit. (Most of my clothes must be able to work double duty!)

5. If you look in my closet, you'll find boatneck tops. It's such a flattering shape on me. I like this orange color a lot.

6. I want to get more into skirts. The color of this skirt is gorgeous and I like the lace detailing on it.

This girl loves shoes...

Not going to lie I've been a bit distracted the last 24 hours, so I almost forgot about Current Crush. When I saw that Danielle had canceled it, I was a bit relieved. But when I saw that Ashley and Rachel (two bloggers who have really welcomed me with open arms) agreed to take it on, I knew I had to post something.

My inspiration comes from the outfit I am planning to wear to my training. The focal point of the outfit is an old pair of yellow Nine West flats. So I am currently crushing on:

I just started searching for bright flats at Polyvore and these are my favorites that came up. My absolute favorites are the mint ones. I think bright flats have the power to add punch to any outfit, especially simple ones. What I am wearing today will be a white tee, blue linen croppped pants, silver necklace, and my bright yellow flats. I'll try and post a picture later if I can.

Polka Dots

I'm linking up with Danielle over at Framed Frosting for Current Crush Thursdays. This week's current crush isn't about fashion. My mind is SLOOOOOOOOOOWLY shifting towards school. I usually do a primary colored theme in my classroom:

It's easy and fairly simple to keep up with. But this year, I'm putting a twist on it. I'm going to add  POLKA DOTS!

I don;t want it to be TOO distracting, so I'm just going to add polka dot accents. Pictures one, two and three come from Erica Bohrer's classroom and Teachers Pay Teachers store. She's created awesome polka dot labels, signs, word cards, letters and a fun back to school board. Erica originally made them in bright neon colors, but she's making them in primary colors as well! Everything's reasonably priced and I don't mind supporting a fellow teacher!

Picture four: I do yellow fabric backgrounds on my bulletin boards, so I figured I'd use these fun polka dot borders to frame them. 

I'm really excited about this because A) it's fairly cheap! and B) it'll keep my classroom coordinated. I've never been able to go full out theme, like space or monkeys. It's too expensive!

Thursdays...

I have nothing big planned today. Thursdays can be so blah, because sometimes there's something great planned and other times its just BLAH. I won't see J today; he's helping out a family from church with their computer tonight. I might hit the gym later and get my Zumba on or maybe take my book and traipse on out to the beach!

My absolute favorite color in the world is yellow. In the past, I've incorporated this color into my wardrobe through shirts and dresses. Recently though, due to one J's silly quirks, I've been trying to find other ways to fit it into my wardrobe. Below you will find things that I wish were in my wardrobe RIGHT NOW!

I want them all! I've attempted to find the Loft shorts, but they're sold out in my size at both of the stores. I love the bubble necklace. I have a pair of yellow flats, but they are not as cute as the flower ones. The skirt would be great to wear to work. I love the pants, they are a great neutral. Oh and I might be THISCLOSE to convincing my brother to buy me the Toms Wedges (he hasn't gotten me a birthday present yet, and he keeps saying he will!)

This week's crush isn't a current one; it's an ALL THE TIME one. :) I adore long necklaces. I think they complete any outfit. Below are some of my favorite finds and some that I really want!

1. I just love the colors in this long necklace from Target. It could go with many different things. 

2. It's hard to see, but this necklace has some pink and silver crystals. I bought it from NY and Company. 

3. This black necklace is from Forever 21. I got it for seven dollars. Love that it's simple. 

4. This necklace is from NY and Company. I love the teal beads. 

5. Another fun colored long necklace. This one is from Forever 21.

Necklaces are my go to accessories. I feel incomplete when my outfit doesn't have one.

Current Crush

I'm linking up today with Danielle at Framed Frosting for Current Crush Thursday. It seemed like a fun link up and I have the perfect topic.

 

I realized after my birthday shopping trip yesterday that my current crush(es) is/are STRIPES. Wasn't sure how the grammar works out there. 

1. I bought this cute green striped cardigan from Forever 21. I'd been looking for a cute green cardigan and this one fit the bill!

2. I couldn't find an exact image but this shirt comes close. I bought this shirt from Forever 21 in teal stripes. Teal is one of my favorite colors. (Doesn't hurt that my favorite NFL team, the Jaguars, have teal as one of their colors!)

3. Charming Charlie is this super cute accessories store. They sell clothes as well, but not on their site. This dress looks almost exactly like the one I bought from Charming Charlie. Instead of blue stripes, I got it in TEAL!

4. This pink striped shirt comes from Gap. Apparently J's mom has some form of ESP and knew of my love of stripes because this top was in my birthday bag (as well as a super cute STRIPED beach bag!). Love her!
